Your Role at Amazon
As a Communications Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving and enhancing Amazon's communication strategy in Longley Town Centre. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that highlight Amazon's initiatives, enhance brand visibility, and support our community engagement efforts.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with local and national media outlets. Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and develop press releases, media kits, and talking points.
- Internal Communications: Ensure effective communication with Amazon employees in Longley Town Centre by developing newsletters, staff briefings, and internal platforms.
- Public Relations: Cultivate a positive public image, aligning our communication efforts with our brand value propositions and community outreach initiatives.
- Crisis Communication: Prepare and execute crisis communication plans to handle potential public relations issues, ensuring swift and effective responses to protect the company’s reputation.
- Content Development: Oversee the creation of content for various channels, including social media, newsletters, and corporate websites to engage audiences and build brand loyalty.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with various departments, partners, and community organizations to support initiatives and facilitate effective communication flows.
- Event Management: Lead the planning and execution of corporate events, community outreach programs, and media briefings.

What We’re Looking For

- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a communications role, preferably within a large organization.
- Proficient knowledge of communication strategies, media relations, and digital communication platforms.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate communication effectiveness and make data-informed decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and in diverse teams.
- Experience managing crisis communication situations effectively.
